Justin Glowe has been involved in the Hunter/Jumper industry since 1973.
He began his riding career training with his mother, Monika Glowe, where he learned both Hunter/Jumper and Dressage skills and competed in 3-day events. Since then, he has been directly involved in the training, teaching and selling of hunters and jumpers and has ridden and trained Grand Prix horses that have been shown on the East Coast, West Coast, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela and Puerto Rico.
Third in the nation in the AO Jumpers and a bronze medalist in the 1984 Young Riders in Canada, Justin has trained with some of the best riders of our time such as: Franz Rochowansky (riding master of the Spanish school), Rodney Jenkins, Dennis Murphy, Col. John Russel plus Glen and Phoebe Johnson.
In the mid-1990s, Justin also managed his own barn (based in Savanah, Georgia) with horses in Tryon, North Carolina. During that time, his farm competed up and down the East Coast, Kentucky and Puerto Rico.
Justin relocated to Texas in 2001, where he reconnected with past clients and trained their horses. His clients have placed in Zone 7 and Texas and the Zone in the Adult Hunter 3-foot division and in the 1st year Green Hunter Division. More recently, he has been working with amateurs and training young horses.
As of this year, Justin was awarded his “r” and judges when and where he is able.
